Through the ‘POP! Running form’ training program Sam has coached me into a much more efficient and effective running style. Both my top end speed and the pace I can maintain at a given power/HR level have improved greatly, especially impressive given it has only taken 4 weeks to date! I feel much better prepared for my upcoming ultramarathon and have even been able to revise my pace targets given the increase in efficiency. Whilst the value the training program has given me in terms of my running efficiency has been great, one of the biggest pieces of value that I have taken has been the way that it allowed me to learn how to feel what good form feels like and build cues to ensure I am maintaining it. This has allowed me to check my form to ensure that bad habits don’t creep back in when I am fatigued during long training runs which has allowed me to stay injury free and keep on track with my training plan.
