Meet Sam Stow
Sam Stow is the founder of Pop! Running and has been running all his life. He is a Level 3 Registered Personal Trainer / Gym Instructor with over 12 years in the health and fitness industry. He also has a Level 1 Recreational Running Coach qualification and a Certified Master Functional Trainer from the Functional Training Institute.
With countless triathlons, marathons and ultramarathons under his belt, he’s learned so much about the art of running and his insatiable curiosity pushes him to continue honing his craft every day.
Sam's Story
Background
Sam Stow is the founder of Pop! Running Form. He is a 40-year-old husband and father of three joyful kids. He is an experienced ultra runner with a long history of study and application of biomechanics from both personal and professional perspectives, having completed a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with a thesis on the modeling of cycling biomechanics. He now works as a lead software architect on applications for sports coaching and health tracking.
The Beginning Of His Quest
In the last two decades, Sam has experienced many injuries and setbac ks that many runners experience. Through this journey, he used his knowledge of biomechanics and his desire to improve to reinvent himself as a runner and started Pop! Running to share his discoveries with a wide audience.
The Discovery
What he discovered was that many of the injuries and setbacks he experienced were due to a lack of understanding of runningbiomechanics. After years of research and trial and error, he developed a system that not only helped him overcome his injuries, but also allowed him to improve his running form and efficiency and set new personal bests in his late 30s and early 40s.
The Result
The result is an easy-to-follow system that can be used by any runner, of any level, to improve their running form and avoid injuries. The Pop! Running system is based on the idea that we cannot improve what we don't understand and the principle of intentional practice. It is designed to help runners move more efficiently and with less effort through better understanding and specific practice.

Ensuring our clients are running with proper technique so they can avoid injuries.
Programming
Using data to design custom training plans for each of our clients so they can see results quickly. And mindset training is essential because we believe that a positive mindset is key to success in running (and in life!). This allows us to help our clients reach their full potential and fall in love with running - something we believe everyone is capable of!
